Tuu Pte. Limited ("we", "us", "our") complies with applicable privacy and data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR) and the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) when dealing with personal information.
Personal information is information about an identifiable individual (a natural person), and includes personal data, personally identifiable information and equivalent information under applicable privacy and data protection laws.

This policy also applies to data submitted as part of Tuu Verified, which includes property-level operational, energy, water, waste, food and training data used for sustainability benchmarking, independent verification and the production of an Evidence Pack. While this data is typically not considered personal information, we handle it with the same high level of confidentiality and security. Any identifiable property data submitted as part of Tuu Verified will only be used with your explicit consent. Anonymised and aggregated data may be used for reporting and industry trend analysis.
This policy was drafted with brevity and clarity in mind. It does not provide exhaustive details of all aspects of our collection and use of personal information. This privacy policy applies to personal information we collect from visitors to our website, our customers, and other individuals with whom we deal directly. It also applies to property-level data submitted through Tuu Verified.
For participants in Tuu Verified, we collect sustainability-related operational data for benchmarking, independent verification and the production of an Evidence Pack. While this data is typically not personal information, we treat it with the same level of confidentiality and security as personal data.
Users of our SaaS service may collect personal information from individuals (e.g. their employees and customers) and upload, store or process that information to or in that service (User Data).
For the purposes of the GDPR and the equivalent laws of the United Kingdom, our customers are the data controller when storing or otherwise processing User Data and we are the data processor. Our customers determine what and how they collect, use, disclose and transfer User Data. This means that our customers' collection and use of User Data is governed by their privacy policy and practices, not ours.
We only process User Data as authorised by our customers in our terms of use and/or other agreements with our customers that govern the processing of User Data (as applicable). Unless required otherwise under applicable law, if we receive any request or enquiry relating to User Data, we will forward this request to our relevant customer.
The remainder of this privacy policy does not apply to User Data.

For participants in Tuu Verified, we collect property-level operational, energy, water, waste, food and training data. This data is used to verify performance against published methodology, provide benchmarking insights, and produce an Evidence Pack independently reviewed by HLB. Anonymised and aggregated data may be used for industry reports and trend analysis.
By submitting data for Tuu Verified, you consent to its use for verification, benchmarking, the production of your Evidence Pack and anonymised reporting. Any identifiable property data will only be published or shared with third parties with your explicit consent — except for the Record ID and the property-level outcome registered on the Blockmark Registry, which is published by design as the public record of verification. A business that supports our website, products and services may be located outside of Singapore (the country where we are incorporated) and also outside of the country where you are located. In this regard, this includes obtaining the consent of the individual to whom the personal information relates unless an exception under the PDPA applies and taking appropriate steps to ascertain that the foreign recipient organisation of the personal information is bound by legally enforceable obligations to provide to the transferred personal information a standard of protection at least comparable to the protection under the PDPA.
As required by applicable law, we will take steps to prevent your personal information from being subject to unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risks inherent in processing personal information.
You play an important role in keeping your personal information secure by maintaining the confidentiality of any passwords and accounts used in relation to our products and services. For Tuu Verified, we apply the same high standards of confidentiality and security to any operational data submitted as part of the verification process. Although this data is not generally considered personal information, it is anonymised where used in aggregate and is securely stored in accordance with applicable data protection laws to ensure privacy and security throughout the verification process. We employ robust anonymisation techniques to ensure individual properties cannot be re-identified from the anonymised data.
Subject to certain grounds for refusal under applicable law, you have the right to access your personal information that we hold and to request a correction to your personal information. Before you exercise this right, we will need evidence to confirm that you are the individual to whom the personal information relates.
Where you request a correction, if we think the correction is reasonable and we are reasonably able to change your personal information, we will make the correction. In all other cases, we will take reasonable steps to make a note of the personal information that was the subject of your correction request.

If you have submitted data for Tuu Verified and wish to access, correct, or request the deletion of your data, please contact us at hello@tuu.eco. Data that has been anonymised for benchmarking and reporting purposes may not be individually identifiable for deletion. The Record ID and the property-level verification outcome registered on the Blockmark Registry are public by design and form part of the permanent verification record; revocation of a verification outcome follows the process described in our methodology.
Subject to applicable law, we may charge you our reasonable costs of providing to you copies of your personal information or correcting that information.
In addition to the rights to access and correct your personal information, if you are based in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the additional rights set out in the GDPR Additional Terms section of this privacy policy below.
While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk.
